Audience: Game admins

MyClubtap uses separate communication systems for member notifications and operational emails sent to the official game admin.

Member-facing notifications
Current member notification types include:
  • Trading Open;
  • Lockout;
  • Admin Alert;
  • Round Summary;
  • New Game in Hub; and
  • Game Over.
Automated notifications are triggered by the applicable game event. An Admin Alert is organiser-created communication and should be used for concise, relevant game information.
The available delivery can include the in-app notification centre and device push notification, subject to the current control and the member’s device permissions.

Admin operational emails

The official game admin can choose a separate email preference for:
  • new approval requests; and
  • new member signups.
Each preference has three options:
  • None - the default;
  • Instant Email Notifications - an email for every new submission; or
  • Daily Summary Email - one summary of new submissions each day.
Only the official game admin receives these emails for now. Daily Summary emails are sent at 6:00am in the game’s configured timezone.

Good use of Admin Alerts

Use alerts for changes members need to act on, such as a revised lockout or an organiser update. Include the game and round where useful. Do not send passwords, private codes intended for one person, sensitive member information or misleading sponsor claims.

If delivery appears to fail

Confirm the correct game, trigger and recipient first. For member push notifications, ask the member to check device permissions. For admin email, check the selected preference and spam folder, then contact MyClubtap with the game, expected message and time.
