Understand verification and game approval in the MyClubtap app

MyClubtap

Last Update 10 days ago

Audience: Members

A game organiser can require member verification and can choose whether access is approved automatically or manually. These settings are separate from whether the game is Public or Private.

When verification may be requested

Complete verification before joining: You must provide the required information before your join request can be completed.
Complete verification later: You may enter first and be asked to complete verification at a later stage set by the game.

Only provide information requested through the official MyClubtap process. The organiser is responsible for deciding what verification is required for its competition.

Approval types
  • Automatic approval: Access is granted automatically once the game’s entry requirements are met.
  • Manual admin approval: An admin must review the request before access is granted.

What each status means

StatusMeaningWhat to do
PendingYour request has been submitted and is waiting for an admin decision or another required step.Wait for the organiser, and complete any outstanding verification shown in the app.
ApprovedYou can enter the game and create or manage your team.Open the game and continue.
DeclinedThe organiser has not approved the request. The app shows Entry rejected.Contact the organiser if you believe this is an error, or select Submit Again to reapply.
Verification requiredRequired information is incomplete.Open the prompt and complete the requested fields.
MyClubtap Support can help with a technical problem, but it cannot override an organiser’s approval decision.

Access before later verification is completed

If a game uses Complete Verification Later, the member can continue accessing and using the game normally before completing verification. In this setup, verification acts as a way for the organiser to obtain the required member acknowledgement or agreement.
The organiser may follow up with members who have not completed verification. The organiser may also suspend a member's game access when required, at its discretion.

If a request stays Pending

  1. Reopen the game and check for an incomplete verification step.
  2. Confirm that your request was submitted using the correct account.
  3. Allow the organiser reasonable time to review manual requests.
  4. Contact the organiser directly if access is time-sensitive.
Do not submit multiple requests from different accounts, as this can make verification harder.

        If your request is declined

The app shows Entry rejected. It then shows Something went wrong. Previous request has not been approved. No separate decline reason is displayed to the member. Select Submit Again if you want to reapply, or contact the organiser for more information.
