Competitions, teams and rounds provide the structure used to organise players, fixtures, lockouts and scoring.

Add competitions or grades

Create each competition, grade or division that supplies fixtures to the fantasy game. Use the official name members will recognise and avoid creating separate records for spelling variations of the same competition.
Add real teams
Create the real clubs, grades or tournament teams used in fixtures and player mapping. These are different from members’ fantasy teams.

Before importing players or fixtures, confirm that every real team has one consistent record. Duplicate team records can cause mapping and reporting errors.
Create rounds
Create rounds in the order used by the fantasy game. A round groups the fixtures that contribute to the same fantasy scoring period and controls the related trade window.

For each round, confirm:

  • the round name or number;
  • the start and end date/time;
  • the fixtures assigned to it;
  • whether trades are restricted or free; and
  • the expected lockout behaviour.

All times follow the timezone selected for the game setup.

Multi-day fixtures

A multi-day match can remain locked until the fixture is completed. Build the round and trade windows around the complete playing period so members are not incorrectly allowed to change affected players while the match is still in progress.

Before activation

Check that every fixture belongs to the correct competition, teams and round; rounds do not overlap unexpectedly; and the first trade window opens and closes at the intended time.
